Job Title: Production Coordinator
Location: Pickering, ON
Work Hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Compensation Range: $55,000 to $62,500 annually
About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating label production and ensuring all packaging materials meet brand and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Adobe Illustrator, as the position requires creating, editing, and preparing artwork files for print. The Production Coordinator will also support the production team with label coordination, printing, and optimization of pre-roll processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Design, modify, and prepare label artwork in Adobe Illustrator according to brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Print and manage labels for all product packaging, including individual units and master cases.
- Coordinate label approvals and maintain accurate version control to ensure up-to-date files are used in production.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Quality Assurance, Planning, and Packaging to ensure labelling accuracy and compliance.
- Track label inventory and ensure adequate stock of printed materials to avoid production delays.
- Support the optimization of pre-roll processes by assisting with workflow improvements, tracking efficiency metrics, and identifying opportunities for standardization.
- Maintain documentation related to production runs, print logs, and material usage.
- Communicate proactively with team members and vendors to meet project timelines and resolve issues.
- Assist with other production and packaging coordination duties as required.
- Other duties as required by management
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Print Production, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required; experience with other Adobe Creative Suite applications is an asset.
- Strong understanding of print setup, color management, and file preparation for production.
- Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or labeling environments preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
